Day 185: Appluase

What a performance it was. Nothing quiet like it, and looking around the room I can tell that everyone else was captivated by it. The lines you had rehearsed were so perfectly executed. The perfect mix of apprehension and confidence. A performance indeed.

You worked the audience like a magician, except they didn’t know that it was all a trick. They couldn’t see that it was all a facade, waiting to be uncovered. They ate it all up, every little lie you told, they believed you.

I’m still in shock at how well you executed the performance. How you kept their gaze so steady, mesmerising them with lies. All eyes were on you.
