Day 107: Love

Today I thought it would be good to talk about love, not just the romantic Hollywood type love (which is great and all) but other kinds of love that affect different aspects of my life.

Work:

I have never understood people who said that they loved their job. To me this is a strange concept because I can’t imagine liking, let alone loving the idea of waking up to go to a hierarchical organisation where I make minimal impact to the world around me. Don’t get me wrong, I love working hard but I do not love work.

I don’t love the idea that my time is bought by an organisation and that I need my manager’s approval for me to get my time back as Annual Leave.

I do love the people I work with.

Family:

Well this one is easy, love love love. I love my family, they annoy me, laugh with me, cry with me and dance with me. They are 100% amazing! Nothing but love.

Friends:

In recent years, I have been very picky about who I label as a friend and I’m so glad. I can truly say that I love all the people I call friends. I don’t always agree with their choices and will call them out on it (and they do the same for me), but at the end of it all we support each other regardless of personal opinion.

Colleagues:

Like I mentioned above I love the people I work with. Some more than others (which is probably why I’m accused of being in love with my favourite work colleague), but all of them are awesome. I love the support they provide. They’re always cheering me on and encouraging me to be better. It’s a great work environment because of the great people.

Me time:

I love me time, I love all the fun things I do during me time. I love gardening, painting, sketching, dancing, netball, crocheting, spa days and everything else.

I love being able to unwind and reflect on my day, week, or month.
