Day 61: Drama

When it comes to drama, I like to stay as far away from it as possible. So I decided to get some inspiration from Spanish novellas, here goes:

Marie kept running, she knew she had to get away from Juan after what she’d uncovered. This was suppose to be the happiest day of her life and yet here she was, running away from the man she thought she loved on her wedding day. She could not believe that he had slept with her mother and that Juan was the father of her baby sister. She couldn’t believe that they had been having an affair for over 6 years, and that her own mother could betray her like that.

She regretted not running away with Rafa when she had the chance. Even though he was the poor stable boy, she knew he was a good man. Rafa would have never slept with her mother. The only issue with Rafa was that her father and Rafa’s mother were having an affair and that there was a possibility that Rafa might be her half brother.

She kept running, not knowing where to go. She just knew she had to get away from her family. She wished she could forget everything that had happened and start over. She wished that she could forget who she was.

Deep in her thought, she could not see the car as it came speeding down the road. The driver, unknown to her was Rafa, who was racing to the church to stop the wedding. As soon as he saw her, he tried to stop the car but it was too late.
