When I think of things that need to be handled with care I think of delicate, sensitive and fragile things. Like babies or glass or historical archives. People don’t often think of themselves as something they should handle with care. I think self love is such an important part of our journey. If we can’t love ourselves how can we expect someone else to. So today I’m giving some tips on how we can handle ourselves with care:
1) Be mindful of what you put in your body, this doesn’t mean going on a vegan diet (unless you want to), but just watching your water intakes, the last time you had fruit or vegetable, etc.
2) Get some rest. In our 24/7 world where the days never end and neither does our to do lists, it is important to make sure you get enough rest. For some people that’s 6 hours of sleep per night, for others 8. Just make sure you get enough for you.
3) Do one thing you love per day. For some people that’s easy because they love their jobs, but for the rest of us who wake up just to get paid, finding time to do something you love is not easy. This is one of the reasons I started this blog because it forces me to do something I love every day, which is writing. Even if it’s just for 10 minutes of the day, just doing something that makes you smile does wonders to your mental health.
And finally just listen to your body because 9 out of 10 times it knows what you need. If your body needs more water it will let you know, if it needs more sleep it’ll let you know. So just pay attention and handle with care.
